Love Yourself Always

This is #1 and most important, yet challenging, mission to accomplish.
Self-love is critical to survival at any age, and may be quite a personal journey.
Loving yourself means recognizing, developing and honouring a sense of self-worth.
Loving yourself means you have zero tolerance for anyone or anything that doesn't love you and respect you.
Loving yourself also means you must treat yourself well, simply because no one else will do it for you
" If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it "

JEALOUSY IS A WASTED EMOTION.

People who love themselves and recognize their worth are unable to be jealous of others. Why?
You should be so preoccupied with loving yourself and changing what you don't like, you have no time to worry about what others are doing.
Being jealous of someone is a waste of energy.
You cannot control other people and the choices they make, or the luck they have.
Weak people let other's circumstances affect their self-love and/or self-worth.
Resist the temptation to be envious, as it will get you nowhere.
If anything, let other people motivate you to achieve certain goals for yourself.

Everyday in every way
I sit myself down to pray
as the last generation bites the dust
If the Lord don't have them the devil must

Past lives now have been forgotten
bones and flesh now slowly rotten
aged must make room for new
the population once more grew

There is no eternal life solution
its what they call the evolution
for life is but a blink of the eye
So live it well for death is nigh!

Mother

The most beautiful satisfaction smile I have ever seen

Belongs to the woman, whose genes I carry

The most honest correction & criticism I have received

Comes from the woman, whose footstep…I AM

My hero, my best friend, my mirror

She made me so mad at times with the corrections,

A teacher by profession, a teacher by nature

In me she instilled discipline like no other

The most precious gift of love ever received

Comes from the woman, whom, many a times I disappointed

She who still saw me worth regardless of my weaknesses

Baby cries without warning annoyed her many a times

My hysterical baby laughter’s, unlighted most of her days

For in my eyes she saw herself with a different dream, a different vision of life

The most beautiful face I have ever seen

The most sincere love I have ever received

Comes from the only woman whom I loved dearly

Seldom told her how proud and happy I was of her

The most tender love, understanding gift I have ever seen

Comes from HER, my hero, my protector, my best friend, MY MOTHER!

attempted to make a convert, nor wished to
change another's creed. I am satisfied
that yours must be an excellent religion
to have produced a life of such
exemplary virtue & correctness
For it is in our lives, not from our words
that our religion
must be judged!

Mothers Odyssey

In lifes lessons rests a gift for me
given the wise and weary mother of my dear and
brilliant mother
A clean bag, fully packed, white and spotless
driven with the care befitting wisdom
that comes only with a long and prudent life.
But, agonized and wild to crazy longing
I am amazed at all possibility,
a journey thru' the land of Selah Atieno,
through the ocean deep with ghosts of a man loved,
whose loved hands would stray the African Heart
to thrill the soul of those listening, carefully,
how their voices told the story of her sadness,
so human with the mix of joy & pain,
that was the common nature of his kind.
Now i wish to don that heavy garment & take
with me my dead mother's piano,
and the memory of my brother's deep torment,
his music now at play among the many.
How i long to go alone on a white odyssey
in this white bag, full parked to survive!.

The most beautiful face i have ever known belongs to my 80 year old grandmother. Each time i see her, I am stuck anew by the depth of her loveliness. The joy in her journey, her struggles with sorrow, the threads of wisdom shes bent down and picked up along the way, are present in each line of time upon her face.
