Your love
Should never be offered to the mouth of a stranger,
Only to someone who has the valor and daring
To cut pieces of their soul off with a knife
Then weave them into a blanket
To protect you.
Stay close to any sounds that make you glad you are alive.
Ever since happiness heard your name, it has been running through the streets trying to find you.
I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in the darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.
There are different wells within your heart.
Some fill with each good rain,
Others are far too deep for that
Fear is the cheapest room in the house. I would like to see you living in better conditions.
Even after all this time the sun never says to the Earth, “You owe me”
There is no pleasure without a tincture of bitterness.
Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. No legacy is so rich as honesty. Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.

Everyone can't be in your front row
EVERYONE CAN'T BE IN YOUR FRONT ROW
If Life is a theater then invite your audience carefully. Not everyone is holy enough and healthy enough to have a FRONT ROW seat in your life. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go, or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, relationships, friendships, fellowship!
EVERYONE CAN'T BE IN YOUR FRONT ROW
Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention to: Which ones lift and which ones lean? Which ones encourage and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are just going uphill? When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse? Which ones always have drama or don't really
understand, know and appreciate you and the gift that lies within you?
EVERYONE CAN'T BE IN YOUR FRONT ROW
The more you seek God and the things of God, the more you seek quality, the more you seek not just the hand of GOD but the face of GOD, the more you seek things honorable, the more you seek growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you, the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the FRONT ROW and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.
EVERY ONE CAN'T BE IN YOUR FRONT ROW
You cannot change the people around you...but you can change the people you are around! Ask GOD for wisdom and discernment and choose wisely the people who sit in the FRONT ROW of your life. Remember that FRONT ROW seats are for special and deserving people and those who sit in the FRONT ROW should be chosen carefully.
"Don't let someone become a priority in your life, when you are just an option in theirs...
Relationships work best when they are balanced".
A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him.

Life
I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening.
When I counted my scanty store.
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial's hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would of willingly paid.
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening.
When I counted my scanty store.
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

That any wage I had asked of Life,

she
She walks in dreams and never sees the hearts that she has broken
She sees the world inside herself and keeps her love unspoken
Others come to walk with her but are soon left in the past
Others come to dream with her but her dreams will never last
A world of love but none for her as she shares her dream alone
A world of beauty and of grace but never to be shone
She sees the world inside herself and keeps her love unspoken
Others come to walk with her but are soon left in the past
Others come to dream with her but her dreams will never last
A world of love but none for her as she shares her dream alone
A world of beauty and of grace but never to be shone

Pyrrhic V-ctory
On the altar of culture
Lies a trembling little lamb
Facing a ritual torture
With nothing to make her numb
The aunties holding her down
Are singing a circumcision song
Urging her to be strong
But it doesn’t take away her frown
They pull her skirt north
Drag her panties south
And push her legs apart
To expose her private part
She grits her teeth and shuts her eyes
As the lady with the rusty knife
Crouches in front of her thighs
To butcher her genital life
The feeling of her flesh being cut
Evokes a wilderness in her heart
She tries to wriggle herself free
But the aunties won’t let her flee
She screams till her face reddens
She sweats till her body glistens
She pleads till she can only whisper
She cries till she can only whimper
The circumciser applies herbs
That multiplies her pain
She wishes she could die
But her prayer is in vain
She sits in a pool of her own blood
For standing makes the pain flood
They congratulate her for ‘becoming a woman’
She answers them with silence for being inhuman
As she languishes in trauma
A village feasts awaits her recovery
Her parents rest assured of higher dowry
But alas, she slips into a coma…

Anyway
You can spend your whole life buildin'
Something from nothin'
One storm can come and blow it all away
Build it anyway
You can chase a dream
That seems so out of reach
And you know it might not ever come your way
Dream it anyway
God is great
But sometimes life ain't good
And when I pray
It doesn't always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway
I do it anyway
This world's gone crazy
It's hard to believe
That tomorrow will be better than today
Believe it anyway
You can love someone with all your heart
For all the right reasons
In a moment they can choose to walk away
Love 'em anyway
God is great
But sometimes life ain't good
And when I pray
It doesn't always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway
Yeah - I do it anyway
You can pour your soul out singing
A song you believe in
That tomorrow they'll forget you ever sang
Sing it anyway
Yea, sing it anyway
Yeah, yeah!
I sing
I dream
I love
anyway
Something from nothin'
One storm can come and blow it all away
Build it anyway
You can chase a dream
That seems so out of reach
And you know it might not ever come your way
Dream it anyway

I stand accused.
In a world of illusion, idolatry, gluttons and liars
I stand accused
If I say that I am not that much into you
Simply because I don’t think your best is my best
And thou’ you ride high with the ‘high n mighty’
The best of the best cars at your service
You are right in all corners of human face
Can afford all the goods that money can buy
But if without respect you chose to treat me
Ego leads you through you life
I would rather stand accused than walk with you
I stand accused,
If I strongly say that the world is no utopia
For the strong n mighty, may not be indeed strong n mighty
For they walk with guns to protect themselves
Pretentious life of ‘happiness’
Dirty hands do they have, to keep up with the lifestyles
Kneeling down to the One above is not in their vocabulary
As happy n fulfilled as they may seem,
Don’t get me wrong, I want it all
With clean hands and frequent kneeling with a word of thanks
But for most that I have seen,
I would rather stand accused than walk with you on that road
I stand accused,
If I prefer ATM (Abstinence Till Marriage)
Because of what the male n the female species have become
Sex they say is what sustains a relationship,
All in favor say…… I,
Haha, thought so, only a handful right?
He wants to sleep with you and date you for 10 years
And later marry someone else,
If that ain’t cruel, then what is?
Married men are still looking for side pockets, aka mpango wa kandos
And claim to love their wives
HIV n AIDS has become normal to most
For ‘sex’ is used in confusion of love
Church goes are no less ‘holly’
Salvation to me, is in ones deeds
So I would rather stand accused
I stand accused
If I say I loath African top gluttons
They walk n dine in fine silver and expensive places
Beer falling bellies full of corruption
Hands always itching for the next victim to lynch
Yet you n me, stupid victims we have become
For we keep all the garbage in and sustain them up there
We complain among ourselves n wait for the next bribe to keep them
Hence the same old, same old complaints we have
Economies are depreciating on every term
So, if I say I need fresh blood and you NAY
I would rather stand accused
I stand accused
If I say that after few years of left right & centre
I am walking away from your lies
You have the calculating eyes of the sex hungry
Damn! Why didn’t I do this on year one?
Honey bearing tongue, once upon a time I was in love
I have tried to make some sense in your so called love
But realized that you are just a calculating son of a B*
Forgive my language, but you are no less than that
For in your world, all that’s there; is the African pen waiting to be fulfilled
So I would rather walk a lonely road for sometime
Before I find a REAL man, man enough to love
And if you think I am wrong,
Then I would rather stand accused
I would rather stand accused
If I say that indeed this world is no utopia.
I stand accused
If I say that I am not that much into you

Listen to this music
I am a hole in a flute that Christ’s breath moves through
Listen to this music.
I walk on a carpeted path of joy, acceptance and great love
I drink the sweetest waters of divinity
I laugh, I dance, walk with pride of having the greatest love ever
For I am a hole in a flute that Christ’s breath moves through
Listen to this music.
Though, there comes the days when roads are impassable
When the essence I share are all negatives
When forces join to fight me with much enjoyment
When nights are too long, my faith is feebled
When going down on my knees seems difficult with sore knees
But being a hole in a flute that Christ’s breath moves through,
I get the assurance of the morning after the night
The peace after the fights
The healing after sore knees
The calmness after the harsh storms
I am taken to great heights
Acceptance, enjoyment and enthusiasm become me
For I am a hole in a flute that Christ’s breath moves through
Listen to this music.
